I have added a page for some items that I have for sale. Please take a look and let me know if there is anyting you want. I am hoping to take the proceeds and make a donation for the Haven of Hope Ranch where I am volunteering this summer. I will continue to add stamps/accessories to that page as I come across more things! Thanks!

I am so excited to start with Haven of Hope Ranch this week! I just attended the first volunteer meeting for the summer sessions. It was so neat to see the work of God in action. They presented the needs of the ranch to the group and as we introduced ourselves and what our hopes were for volunteering with the ranch, you could see that each of us there tonight were meeting a specific need! God is so gracious and provides for everything! Below is another couple cards that filled the tin shown below.

I presented the tin to the gal who is overseeing the volunteers. I asked that she pass it along to the owner of the ranch. She was so excited to receive it and said that it was so needed! I will be making another for the ranch in Bend that I spoke about in a previous post.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I’ve always loved horses. I was a lucky little girl to have a pony growing up. I didn’t have the greatest childhood with a less than stellar father, but I can remember that my best memories were that upon my horse. I was compelled to watch the evening news the other night. I normally don’t since there is nothing but the horrific details of the day so I choose not to watch. But something made me turn the TV on, and just in time. There was a segment about a ranch called Chrystal Peaks Youth Ranch, later to find out, right here in Oregon. This is a ranch that rescues horses from whatever the situation including the slaughter house. They rehabilitate the horse and give the chance to underprivileged and abused children the opportunity to connect with such an amazing animal. Good for the horse and great for the child in need. I’ve always had a dream, although not loudly shared, to work with rescued horses or even to have a ranch like this myself. As I watched this segment I felt the burning question, why don’t you do this? You know, you have something to offer. OK. I prayed about it that night. I got on the Internet and did some research. This particular ranch is in Bend, about 3 hours from me, so volunteering is out of the question. But right here, in Newberg, is a ranch with the same mission… doing the work of God with a horse. I quickly read the entire website and decided to print out all the necessary volunteer paperwork. I am in the process now of connecting with the owner. In the meantime, I still have a burning desire to do something for each of these wonderful ranches. Um…. They receive a lot of support and I bet write numerous Thank Yous. Here is my chance to do something today. My goal~ 100 cards, horse related, to split between these wonderful, heavenly places.

Here are just two of the designs using the SU set Bareback.
I encourage you to check out each of these websites. The stories are amazing. You may need a box of tissue. Whether you are a horse lover or not, you will truely see the work of God being done everyday.
